Where Have All The Blog Posts Gone?

My, my, it certainly has been a long time. I have neglected my blog since….March? Well, now that changes. Prompted by a writing assignment (because dear gods if I had to write another academic essay on another mundane topic I was going to snap) I will be updating my blog quite a bit.
For a start, here is what you missed in the almost exciting world of Megan: I finished my Sophomore year at MIAD which, while I passed and was pleased with most of my assignments, was a massive ball of stress and a last minute experience that I would rather never repeat. Then I traveled to Ireland for a month! It was a most magical experience that I will never forget.   I will make a post later about that, though. Then after the summer break, I started my junior year at MIAD and here I am! Managing my time better, developing as an artist (or at least I hope) and finishing all of my finals without staying up all night at all! HA! But as a part of finishing said finals, I should really get along with this blog this so on to the next post.

Sketch Dump Fridays

...And here we have the first installment of Sketch Dump Fridays! From now on, I will be posting what i have been working on during the week outside of school every Friday. Admittedly, this post has more than just a week's work but it is all pretty recent. The last two are something that came up after listening to the Nickel Creek song Green And Grey a few too many times. I realize I'm mixing my mythologies a bit here but a story came up in my head to go along with it about a satyr who falls for a banshee. I rather like the character concepts that are starting and look forward to expanding them. Anyway, enjoy! Also, WARNING: TAR BE BOOBIES!

Let's start off with a proper introduction

Hello and welcome to my umpteenth attempt at a blog! I am your host, Megan! I am a 20-year-old art student living (at home) and going to school in the lovely, drunken city of Milwaukee. I am the proud owner of two cats, a vast plethora of art supplies, a few items of foam weaponry (we'll get into that later), a handful of good friends and a rather bawdy sense of humor. I have come to this lovely internet place to share with you my art, my geekery and my musings on life. So enjoy yourselves, look around for a bit (especially at the links located to your right) and hopefully come back soon!

Love and Luck (because I'll need it to stick to this blog),
Megan
